Cynthia Mackey, children’s author

Cynthia Mackey is a writer and nature program educator living in Victoria, B.C. She has published two children’s books, KATIE SHAEFFER PANCAKE MAKER (2017) and THE LULLABY MONSTERS (2020). Cynthia has been mentored by Canadian author, Jean E. Pendziwol. Cynthia’s poem, Why Teachers Need Tuna, was published in The Dirigible Balloon, January 2022. She has another poem, A Recipe for Summer Adventures published in Little Thoughts Press, Hit the Road Issue. Cynthia’s fiction picture book manuscript, ARIA made the list of honourable mentions in Mindy Alyse Wise’s #PB Party in 2022. She’s a member of SCBWI Canada West and Storyteller Academy.
